The Wendel's had repainted five years ago, and were in need of a new paint
job. The once vibrant red on the front of the house had lost its shine.
Cracks had begun to develop around doorjambs and numerous windows had started
to peel. Worse yet, defective construction had caused the dormers and two
other windows to rot.
Manor Works replaced the rotted wood with PVC trim; a plastic material molded
into the shape of commonly used wood trim. This would not correct the faulty
construction, but it would assure that the areas would not rot again.
The trim was scraped, sanded, filled, caulked and spot primed before being top
coated with Benjamin Moore paints.
